Inukshuks were traditionally used by the Inuit people in the north as directional markers. An Inukshuk in the shape of a person signifies safety, hope and friendship. In recent years, many Inukshuks have been erected by travellers along Canada's highways. I first spotted this one along the highway southeast of Kenora. I returned a number of days later hoping for a nice sunrise to enhance the background for my image and was rewarded with this result.
